Prometheus to be released on June 8, 2012 - The End is Near!

The End is near! Prometheus is hitting movie theaters this Friday, June 8, 2012. The anticipated Ridley Scott science-fiction adventure blockbuster event is going to make a bundle of money this weekend. No movie will block Prometheus from winning the June 8-10 weekend box office.

We anticipate box office estimates to reach $65+ million this upcoming weekend. Scott's past work follows across the genres, anywhere from Gladiator to Alien in 1979, and as far back his directorial debut in Boy and Bicycle in 1965. The visionary director has carved out several movie masterpieces such as:

  • Alien (1979)
  • Blade Runner (1982)
  • Thelma & Louise (1991)
  • Hannibal (2001)
  • Black Hawk Down (2001)
  • American Gangster (2007)

Ridley Scott recently held a screening to unveil his Prometheus trailer teaser in Downtown Disney's AMC located in Anaheim, California. Screening attendants were treated to a question/answer session with Ridley Scott present. We expect Prometheus to finish first this weekend with at least $60 million in ticket sales.

Prometheus movie tagline: "The search for our beginning could lead to our end"

Expected box office projections: $60-65 million opening weekend, long-term projection of $210+ million.
